
First things first … a huge congrats to the Slinger High School boys basketball team on making it to the state championship game Saturday evening in Madison! It wasn’t the outcome this team deserved, but we are so grateful for the way you represented the Slinger community this past season! We are all so proud of you — it was a long road filled with lots of hard work to get to the Kohl Center. I saw several CFD members at the Kohl Center on both Friday and Saturday, what a fun weekend. 🙂
It’s one rep week! The Open is over and it’s time to re-test where our numbers are at in the lifts we’ve been working on for the past couple of months. Monday will be back squat, Tuesday will be shoulder press and Wednesday will be deadlift. As always, if you’re not feeling like pushing for a one rep, that’s ok! Build to a heavy single and listen to your body — you’re still getting in great strength work. We also have some really great workouts this week! I’m excited to get back to work.
A huge congratulations to the 6 CFD members who qualified for Quarterfinals in this year’s CrossFit Open! We’ll be doing a social media post this week wishing those members good luck as they advance to the Quarterfinals workouts. Please give them all a high-five and congrats. Ranking in the top 25 percent around the world is no small accomplishment — it’s a true sign of consistency and hard work.
