AMAZING work on the 2026 CrossFit Open, CFD!! We saw incredible effort from everyone the past 3 weeks — we know it isn't easy to push yourselves to that next gear, but now you know it's possible! What will your goal be for the next 12 months? Did the Open expose a weakness? Maybe it's pacing, cardio capacity, wall ball volume, pull-ups, or the ever-present muscle ups. Don't forget about the movements we didn't see this year, too. (Cough cough, wall walks.) What I love most about the Open is watching our community support each other. I love seeing people

Here we are, the last week of the 2026 Open! Please be sure to share your WINS after this third and final workout! Be proud of how hard you've pushed and the gains you've made in your fitness this past year. Take some time to set a goal for next year's Open — what movement are you going to have mastered one year from now?? How are we feeling after 26.1?? :) Wowzer, that one got our heartrates jacked. Your quads are likely a BIT sore! I've been in Wisconsin Dells this weekend for my daughter's basketball tournament — the stairs to the third floor have been a bit troubling lol. Remember to drink water, eat healthy foods and sleep when you can. Life is busy, we all pushed hard, but let's be ready to get back to work on Monday morning. :) A couple tips as we progress toward workout number 2: If you're training 5 days a week and also doing the Open,

Here we are, the week of the first Open workout! :) 26.1 will be announced Thursday afternoon — we'll be doing the workout during all classes on Friday. Please bring your best energy, a positive, get-to-work attitude, and get ready to cheer people on! Mayhem came out with a great post on setting yourself up for success this week. Should you be tapering? A taper is a planned reduction in training volume while maintaining intensity to prepare for a fitness peak. It's not just taking it easy. It's strategic recovery that keeps you sharp while letting your body supercompensate, meaning

This week will be a deload week for strength, our lightest week since our last one-rep tests. The CrossFit Open is quickly approaching and we don't want to overreach as we approach the three Open workouts. After the Open is over, we will have a controlled

But don't worry, some of us are still hanging back in beautiful Slinger ... we may see 40 degrees on Monday and Tuesday so that's good, right?!
