
Hey friends! I came upon a video this week featuring Chase Ingraham — it’s absolutely worth a listen. (It’s 6.5 minutes long.) He talks about finding his way back to CrossFit after not having a community to go to as he was recovering from a surgery. He also talks about the anxieties of coming into a gym and being out of shape, inexperienced and unable to do certain movements. He talks about scores on the whiteboard, and having the ability to “show your cards” inside a CrossFit gym. Our schedule is a bit different this week with the Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll have our Thanksgiving workout at 7 a.m. Thursday, friends and family can join us for free! (Bring them in, show them what they’re missing out on!) We won’t have our regularly scheduled classes on Friday, but we will have Open Gym from 8 to 10 a.m. Anyone down for a workout after all that turkey has settled?? I will think up something fun. 🙂 We’ll be back to our regular schedule on Saturday.
Let’s take a look at this week!
Monday: “Kelly.” Five grueling rounds of classic conditioning: Run 400m, launch into 30 box jumps, and finish each round with 30 wall balls. No shortcuts, all grit.
Tuesday: “Roast Turkey.” For seven challenging sets, crush the air bike for calories, then hit toes-to-bar and handstand push-ups. Every set, every rep: Push the pace and rest only when the timer says so.
Wednesday: “Candied Yams.” Ten relentless rounds, grip the bar for 10 deadlifts, then light up your rope with 30 double unders. Stay dialed in and keep moving.
Thursday: Come join us for our Thanksgiving WOD at 7 a.m.! Friends and family work out for free!
Friday: We won’t have our regularly schedules classes today, but join us at Open Gym from 8 to 10 a.m.!
Saturday: “Green Bean Casserole.” Partner up and hammer through five rounds: Run, swap between sandbag carries and air bike, and team up for sandbag box step overs. Finish strong.
