Week of 3/7/2021

Let me start off with a GIANT THANK YOU!  The new class schedule seems to be working flawlessly and you all are doing the best job to date of using the system.  So THANK YOU to all!

The Open starts next week already!  If you have not signed up yet, please do so as soon as time will allow.  We want to make sure to get everyone on a team.  Remember this is a great baseline and community time.  It’s not about the competition (even though that can be equally fun?).  Also, we are still looking for team captains.  If you are interested, please let Chris or Kelly know.  Any questions at all… talk to a Coach!

Regarding how we will be completing the Open, our weekly programming, and what you can expect over the next three weeks, here are some more details.  First of all, our focus for the next three weeks is simple.  Prepping you all to perform at your absolute best every Friday night for the next three weeks.  It’s that simple.  Here is how we are going to accomplish that.  The weeks will start out with more intensity.  Lots of metabolic conditioning in order to keep your CNS firing but not leave you sore.  As we get close to Friday, we will taper off on the intensity so that you feel fresh headed into the weekend.  All classes on Fridays will perform the open workout.  If you are registered, you will have a judge.  If you are not registered for the open, you will be placed into a heat along with everyone else.  Please realize that we do not know the workout any sooner than you do so our Thursday nights are all about setup for the next day’s classes.  We will do our best to answer all your questions and get you motivated to perform at your best.  Our “Main Events” are during Friday night classes on 3/12 and 3/26 as well as Sunday during open gym on 3/21.  All this means is that we are trying to get more people into the gym, so the energy is high.  We also plan to hang out afterwards.  No plans but don’t want to workout… no worries, come in and cheer others on as they workout.  One last thing.  We typically do not encourage redoing the workouts.  However, we know life happens sometimes and you may want a second go.  In that case open gym is the time and place to do that.  Anything else will need to be discussed with Chris or Kelly ahead of time.  Thanks, and reach out with any questions.  Let’s make it a great 2021 Open!

Last week was a large blog post and I did not want a very big thing to get overshadowed.  Drum-roll please….
