Those warmer temps and sunshine this past week were a great break from the Wisconsin winter norm! Be sure to take advantage of these days and head outside for some Vitamin D and a mood boost. Winters can be long and hard around here! Time outside, and of course time spent at CFD, will get you through this season. 🙂 Exercise is one of the best ways to fight seasonal blues.
How did the Mayhem January Challenge go? Did you work on or accomplish any goals you set for yourself? How about intentional family time, or time spent with your friends? January might be over, but don’t forget to carry these new habits into the rest of the year. Think about how good change feels. 🙂
Let’s take a look at this week’s workouts …
We are in the month of February! We get things rolling on Monday with an “Open-like” AMRAP that moves us through high-skilled gymnastics and barbell cycling. We attack a solid monostructural 3-set AMRAP for Tuesday that will challenge our pacing abilities. It’s a fun version of “DT” with dumbbells for the middle of the week. Thursday is a long grind of biking and the gut-wrenching strict sit-ups. For Friday, we are bringing the Open workout that introduced us to wall walks, 21.1; let’s see if all the experience pays off. Saturday’s partner workout is another solid team version of the 4.40 Challenge, with athletes moving back and forth for 40 minutes.

Tuesday – Deadstop Should Press and row/shuttle runs
Wednesday – A DB version of “DT” and Ring Muscle Up skill work
Thursday – Back rack step back lunges and bike/sit-ups
Friday – CF Open Workout 21.1 and Mayhem Mini-Pump Chest and Triceps
Saturday – Partner workout! (C+Js, lunges, cardio)
Sunday – Open Gym
