It’s deload week, CFD! Let’s focus on dialing in our mechanics and keeping our weights light as we look forward to test week. Next week, we’ll be testing our 3RM for overhead squat/front squat and bench press.
We’ll also see the beginning of our four-week optional Murph prep programming begin. If you plan to do Murph on May 27, please take advantage of the prep work we offer! Murph is an incredible, classic Hero WOD, but also a workout that shouldn’t be taken lightly. We want to set you up for success with this workout, as well as the days to follow.
Have you noticed we’ve been working on rowing capacity lately? Speaking of rowing … Death Row returns on Friday! Remember: Every day is an opportunity to get better. Every day. Maybe “get better” for you means increasing your row cals by one, or focusing on your burpee form and breathing. Maybe “get better” for someone else means not avoiding this workout and simply showing up. Lastly, self-improvement for some of us might mean taking a rest day and giving ourselves the extra time to sleep, recover or connect with our family. Wherever you can “get better,” be honest with yourself and put in the work to get there.
We’ll be talking about recovery on our social media soon — if you don’t follow us already, please be sure to find CrossFit Develop on both Instagram and Facebook!
Make it a great week, all!
