Well that was a fun time! 😉 We had a few tough workouts sprinkled in this past week, including Monday’s run/bike workout, “The Chief” and Thursday’s sleeper WOD (who knew shuttle runs could feel that difficult lol). Great work all!! If you’re still feeling some soreness, focus on protein, carbs, water and sleep. If you shortchange yourself on any of those necessities, your recovery process will take longer. The one hour a day we spend in the gym is amazing, but remember how important the remaining 23 hours are, too.
Congratulations to our 2024 Weight Loss Challenge winners! Rachel Kriz received first place, Ryan Vossekuil received second place, and Jody Bath received third place. Nice job to everyone who completed the challenge, we are so proud of you! Take what you’ve learned in the last couple of months and carry bits and pieces of that knowledge into your everyday life. Keep the momentum going in a positive direction — it’s a lifestyle, not a race to the finish line.
We’ve made it to the week of the Open! This is the one time every year where we focus on competing. But don’t get caught in the trap of overthinking it — approach this workout like you would any other. You all do these kinds of workouts every day, you’re ready! The Open is always a great test of personal progress — let’s see how far you’ve come in the past year. Maybe you have a movement this year that you didn’t have last year — that’s awesome! It’s time to show yourself what you’ve gained, and figure out what you’ll work on next. Remember to register for the Open here. We will do the Open workouts at every class time on March 1, 8 and 15. Any questions, just ask!
Thank you CFD, let’s face this week TOGETHER!
