It’s the one weekend every year where we all have absolutely no idea what day it is. 🙂 I think Monday is approaching, so let’s get to it!
It was great to see all of you at our annual Thanksgiving Sampler Platter workout — thank you for grinding it out with us! We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your day with family, friends, good food and lots of laughs. Remember, one day off of your typical eating schedule will not affect your progress! In fact, it might help. Our bodies need rest, recovery (physically and mentally), and time spent with those you love. The key is, hop back into your routine the next day! A piece of cheesecake on Thanksgiving is great — just don’t let it turn into a cheesecake breakfast for the next 4 days. 🙂
We’re heading into week 3 of 5 of our current wave-loading strength cycle. Keep those backs and shoulders recovered as we continue to focus on deadlifts, push jerks and back squats. Move with intention during our warm-ups — every warm-up is an opportunity to work on your mobility before we head into the workout.
Here are the lifts of the week:
Monday – Deadlift and “Diane”
Tuesday – 30-minute EMOM
Wednesday – Push jerk and METCON
Thursday – METCON
Friday – Back squat and “Point Break”
Saturday – METCON w/partner option
Sunday — Open Gym
