Congratulations to Mari, Marcus and Coach Courtney, who competed this past weekend at B3 — Beasts, Beers and Barbells, held at Redemption Fitness in Waukesha. Coach Courtney held a podium spot, taking second place in women’s Rx! It was amazing to see you three work hard and crush some goals out on the competition floor! Thank you to those of you who were able to either attend in person or cheer them on via Facebook Live. Your support means the world to them, and we’re so proud of you three!

We’ve been seeing some fantastic engine-building workouts recently — who is feeling ready for the Open? 🙂 The CrossFit Open begins Feb. 29, we can’t wait! More info to follow.
We are in the middle of a 6-week progressive overloading cycle with the Back Squat and Deadlift ending in a 1-Rep test. This week will be 8×2. Remember to push yourselves and work hard with these moderate/heavy sets of 8! Stick to the programming and you will see results.
This month we will also see skill work that will focus around movements that commonly show up in the Open. This week we’ll be working on pull-ups, chest to bars and muscle ups.
Our annual Fit for Kids charity WOD is just two weeks away! We host this workout in support of the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center, which is a nonprofit organization that offers comprehensive services to investigate cases of child maltreatment. This organization enables children and their families to heal from abuse, and advocates for safe and secure living environments.
