Week of 2/23/2025

We’re less than a week out from the start of the CrossFit Open! 🙂 You all are ready, I can tell! This is the one time every year we compete. The rest of the year, we are focusing on our training. The Open workouts are a great way to check in with yourself and take accountability for how you’re moving. Are you performing your reps to standard? Are your squats to full depth? Maybe you feel they are, but you’re not quite there. That’s ok! We’re all here to progress and move forward in our fitness. Maybe it’s time to unlock a new skill — you know you’re ready, but you just need an extra push. “Open Magic” is a real thing — the energy and support push you to do things you never thought possible. Finally, the Open is a great way to unlock a new gear of intensity. You may think you’re pushing to your max, but are you really? Let’s get to this week’s programming …

We have a Mayhem Benchmark workout to start the week. What better one to complete than “Diane Bailey”? Tuesday is a fun repeat gymnastic interval that will give us a steady dose of core and fast-paced, high-heartrate sets. For Wednesday, we will tackle a long “Every Minute, On The Minute” workout where athletes will have to work quickly for their rest and try to hold a consistent effort across. Athletes will partner up and attack some descending calorie sets on the rower back and forth for Thursday. Friday is 25.1!! Saturday is a long endurance partner workout designed to be an active recovery, but can also be pushed for those who choose to.

Monday – Hang power snatch (1×5) and Deadlift/Strict HSPU

Tuesday – Front squat (1×3) and TTB/Burpees

Wednesday – HSPU skill work and a 25-min EMOM

Thursday – Bench press (1×3) and a partner workout! (Rowing)

Friday – 25.1 … what will it be?? 🙂

Saturday – Partner workout! (Some fun machine work, burpees, box step ups)

Sunday – Open Gym
