Week of 5/30/2021

We continue to go long for two times per week but as we roll into June our shift will gradually turn more into shorter sprints and strength.  Towards the end of the month, we will be building into a 1RM for BSQT, Deadlift, and Strict press.  This is so we will have accurate number to base our strength cycle off of in the month of July.  You read that right.  Heavy weights are just around the corner once again! ? Oh, don’t you cardio buffs worry though… we will still have plenty of crowd favorites for you as well.  Little teaser… “Ripcord” will be retuning, and we’ll get to try out “Hotshots 19”.  Middle of the month is CFD’s 3-year anniversary where we will be repeating our first ever girl WOD performed at CFD.  Who remembers or can guess what this is?  In fact… let’s play a little game.  Tell a coach the name of the WOD and get a free drink this next week 5/31-6/5 only.  Let’s see who reads the Blog… ?

Memorial Day Murph

See you all Monday for the Murph!  If you have never done this event we can’t wait to see you there.  If you have done this in the past you’re sure to break through some barriers this year.  

There has been communication on the CFD members page with more details.  If you have any questions, please ask a coach.  Please make sure to reserve your spot at one of the classes.  If those fill up, we will open another heat.  On the day of please bring a dish to pass as we will be having a social afterwards.  As always this is a family and friends free event.  See you all there!

Friendly reminder that the heat time is when you will 3, 2, 1…GO!  Plan to show up ahead of time to warmup and hear the chalk talk.  Chalk talk will start 10min before each heat release.
