Shewww….!!! Baseline testing is finally behind us. Well for now at least… don’t worry though, it’ll be back before we all know it. Hope you all had a great week last week. I can’t believe all the PR’s! You all consistently amaze us! Keep up the good work!
Now let’s turn our focus forward a bit. The next big milestone that we have coming up is the CrossFit Open. The Open will run from March 11th to March 29th this year. Once again, we will be looking to get as many of you to participate as we can. This is a great way to compare your fitness to others at your level around the entire world. We will also be doing a team competition like we have in the past with just members of our gym. Oh yeah babe! Friday night lights is coming back! I can’t wait!!!
If the thought of the Open approaching gives you a little bit of anxiety… fear not! You should know by now that we have your back. You can expect to see the workouts change a bit between now and March 11th. We will be taking a concentrated focus on building your engines with both aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. That’s right! METCON’s for dayz! ? We will not be changing our goal of improving skills but rather placing an emphasis on movements commonly seen in the Open. As we inch closer to the start of the Open the workout style will change a bit to resemble that of programming commonly seen in the Open workouts. To sum it up, we’re gonna hit it hard! Working our tails off with the goal of performing at our highest level during the Open. Expect some tough days ahead then a quick tapper right before the Open starts to fully recover us and allow us to PR time and time again during the Open this year. Exciting times ahead in this Open prep cycle!
