Lots of information this week!
Are you interested in being part of a weight loss challenge? CrossFit Develop is starting one Monday, November 12. The contest will run for 8 weeks ending on December 30. There will be a payout to the top finisher. Yes, we are holding this over the holiday months on purpose! We want to help keep you accountable! It becomes way too easy to let yourself slide during the holiday months. Did you know the average American gains 10 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, they retain 5 of those pounds one year later? Let’s not be in this statistic!
Here are the details of the contest!
• It costs $25 to participate in the challenge. This helps hold you accountable! You pay for it you will stay motivated!
• Track your food and drinks in My Fitness Pal. Most people don’t even know how many calories or macros they are eating in a day. Are you getting enough protein? Are you eating enough vegetables? How many grams of fat do you eat in a day? Track everything and see where you can make healthy changes.
• The challenge is for both members and non-members, but you must be weighed at the beginning and the end by a staff member of CrossFit Develop, you are not allowed to send in your weights.
• Winner is determined by percentage of weight lost multiplied by inches lost. For example, if you weigh in at 150 pounds and weigh out and 140 you lost 10 pounds or 6.67%. Your waist measured 32 inches at the beginning and 30 inches at the end. Your score would be 6.67% x 2 inches = 13.34
• You must be wearing similar clothing at the time of weigh in and weigh out: t-shirt and shorts, no shoes.
• Winning payout is determined by how many participants… the more people that join the more the winner will receive.
• All participants will be added to a private CrossFit Develop Challenge Group. This will be used to ask questions, share recipes and cheer each other on.
• Contest starts November 12th and weigh-ins can begin this week. Contest Ends December 30 and weigh ins must be done before this date.

Don’t forget that we have our second CrossFit Yoga session this Sunday starting at 11am. As such we will be once again changing our open gym time this weekend. Open gym will be from 10:00 – 11:00, with no open gym during Yoga! Come in work some weaknesses or hit a quick WOD then get ready to feel great with CrossFit Yoga.
